Aisling Bea

Aisling B a was born on 16 March 1984. She was born in Kildare Ireland. She has been on QI, alongside Stephen Fry. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as her stage name Aisling Bea (born on 16 March 1984), is an Irish actress, writer and stand-up comedian. Bea first began her career with stand-up comedy in the year 2011 after playing small roles she played in Irish and British television dramas from 2009. She was already regularly performing on sketch comedy shows and sitcoms. Following her win in the Edinburgh Comedy Awards, she was invited to appear on a number of panel programs. In 2016 through 2017, she was a team captain on 8 Out of 10 Cats as well as a frequent participant on the follow-up show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. Her parents were Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister named Sinead. In 2012, she was the second woman ever to win the So You Think You Are Funny Award. Bea the name she was given as her maiden name, is a tribute to her dad who died in the year 2000. Aisling Cliodhnadh O'Sullivan was born in Kildare town County Kildare on 16 March 1984. Her father Brian was an equine veterinarian who took his own life at the age of three. Bea was just three years old though she did not know what happened to him until she turned 13 years old. She adopted the stage name Bea to pay tribute to her father. She also she wrote an article for The Guardian in 2017 about the suicide of her family members. Bea along with her younger sister Sinead were taken care of by their maternal grandmother Helen (nee Moloney) an elementary school teacher and jockey trainer, as well as a former professional jockey. The family was obsessed with horses and racing. Bea started out as a tourist guide for the Irish National Stud. But she soon realized that her passion was for doing and not racing.
